Actress Subrina Karki debuting as Hot and Sexy Gilr in "Jhelee" Nepali Movie 2014

Actress Subrina Karki is debuting in upcoming movie ‘Jhelee’. The movie is the third movie in a row of similar sounding names. When first release ‘Jhola’ and the second ‘Jholey’ were both successful in theater, the fate of the third similar sounding movie will be known on its release on March 28.

The film makers have told that Sabrina is featured in a hot role in the movie. The trailer of the movie shows that she has not only done hot scenes, she has also spoken dual-meaning dialogues.

With Sabrina, ‘Jhelee’ also features Anil Thapa and Deepa BC in leading role. The movie directed by Kamal Dahal is the presentation of Bhesman Shrestha. The thriller social drama movie is the presentation of Amarratna Movies.

Kabaddi trailer released, sounds like a promising movie

The trailer of upcoming movie ‘Kabaddi’ was released in a formal program in Kathmandu on March 3. More than 3 minutes long trailer released during the event gives a preview of love, romance and comedy in the movie. In our previous post have mentioned the new released Kabaddi posters too.

 

The movie directed by Rambabu Gurung features Dayahang Rai, Rishma Gurung and Nischal Basnet in lead roles.  The movie scheduled to release on Baisakh 12 (April 25, 2014) will compete with another movie to release on the same day – ‘Mero Best Friend’.

Rekha Thapa movie Himmatwali starts in Mahendranagar

The shooting of an upcoming movie of Rekha Films, ‘Himmatwali’ has started in Mahendranagar on Shivaratri day. Rekha Thapa performed chasing stunts in horseback on the first day of shooting.

The movie is being directed by Shyam Bhattarai and is being cinematographed by Ramsharan Upreti. Rekha is also introducing a new actor in the movie, most probably the disabled climber Sudarshan Gautam.

The shooting of the movie started at Piplati of Mahendranagar. The movie expected to cost Rs. 5 million will feature a new lead actor. Like other Rekha Thapa movie, this is also an action movie and is female oriented.

The movie features music of Basanta Sapkota and Tanka Budhathoki. The movie is targeted to release in coming Dashain festival. It is Rekha’s ex-husband Chhabi Raj Ojha‘s tactic to release movies in Dashain for their success. The success of Rekha’s last movie ‘Kali‘ is attributed to the timing of the release during Dashain festival.

Parshuram, Sumina Ghimire’s next movie

Actress Sumina Ghimire has signed in upcoming movie ‘Parshuram’ by director NR Ghimire. Ghimire is considered one of the youngest director in Nepali film industry.

‘Parshuram’ will feature Sumina, Shyam Katuwal, Umesh Khadka, and Birendra Biru Yadav. The movie is expected to go on floor after a month. The film unit is currently in Lahan in search of proper location for the shooting of the movie.

Namrata Shrestha and Rap artist Lahure to be featured in Tandav

Actress Namrata Shrestha is going to be featured opposite to a popular rap artist, Lahure (Ashish Rana) in an upcoming movie ‘Tandav’. The movie to be directed by Murray Kerr, a British national running a visual effects company in Nepal. The movie was announced in a program held on February 19, 2014.

The movie is being produced by Mohan Dotel under the production company of ‘Badhshala’, Smashing Apple. In addition to Namrata and Ashish, Anup Baral, Beepin Karki, Alan Gurung and some foreign artists will also be featured in the movie.

Censor Board couldn’t decide on Bhimdutta

The Censor Board has decided to do a detailed review of the movie before letting it screen in theater. The Board chief Umakant Parajuli has told that the involvement of the Army and Indian government in the killing of Bhimdutta has to be researched and verified before the movies is allowed to release.

The board has told that they also have found other issues to research and discuss. The board had also objected violence scenes in the movie. The movie is made on the life of a revolutionary leader of far west Nepal.

In the mean time the director and producers of the movie have posted protesting messages in Facebook. Nawal Khadka’s previous movie ‘Dashgaja’ was also rejected at first and had gone through an extensive scrutiny of the Censor Board.

A movie featuring the romance of Jharana Thapa and Suman Singh, ‘Premika’ is going to release on February 28, 2014. The love story movie directed by Ramji Lamichane received an ‘U’ certificate from the Censor Board.

With Jharana and Suman, the movie also features Sushil Pokharel in leading role. The movie features the thrills of Roshan Shrestha, music of Dinesh Sunam and cinematography of Durga Paudel. Other backstage artists include – Banish Shah in editing, Sushil Pokharel in script writing, Alish Karki in background score. The movie is produced under the banner of Shuva Shanti Films.

"Nagbeli" Upcoming New Nepali Film 2014- Promo Video Released

The first look of the debut movie of well known choreographer Gobind Rai as a director, ‘Nagbeli’ was released in a program held in Kathmandu. The movie produced by Romian Limbu features Harshika Shrestha, Dayahang Rai, Nir Shah, Vicky Malla, Surabhi Jain, Yashraj Garach, Sambhav Shrestha, Ashok Phuyal, Rupa Rana, Luniva Tuladhar, CP Poudel and others.

 

The story of ‘Nagbeli’ is written by journalist Dipendra Lama and is produced under the banner of Cheli Maiti International Films.

Talking at the event held in Union House, Anamnagar, the director Gobind Rai told that he started direction on the suggestion of Rekha Thapa. Gobind had invited his guru, Kamal Rai, from Darjeeling for the choreography of the songs in the movie.

The movie shot in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and different places of Kabhre district. The date of the release of the movie in theater is yet to be announced.

The premier of the movie was previously held Nuneaton,UK on October 26, 2013.

Mokshya charity show held, positive responses from viewers

The charity show of the upcoming movie ‘Mokshya’ was held at 8 AM at QFX Jai Nepal on January 23, 2014. The movie made on a musical journey of a musical band is told to be based on a true story. According to the viewers of the charity show, the movie is has been a good presentation.

Actress Nisha Adhikari who watched the movie said, "I felt proud to belong to an industry which can bring forth such products amidst all the adversities." Nisha added, she felt proud to be associated with the movie.

The movie directed by Prabin Manandhar will release on theater on February 7.  The music and first look of the movie was released last week.

The fund collected from the charity show will go towards the support the people with disabilities.

New Nepali Movie Divorce 2014 Preview

Entering The World Of Crime: Nepali Film Mukhauta

Nepali cinemagoers are soon going to be treated with a crime drama flick. A press conference took place recently on the upcoming new movie Mukhauta. As mentioned in the press release, Mukhauta uncovers the seedy side of Thamel and the power struggle of trying to take and maintain control of it. Old man Mr. D has been controlling Thamel since his 20s but then he’s faced by the new rival gang led by Chepang and his right-hand man Manesh.

The film is set for an epic gangster drama that no one can predict. Everyone has their own motives and ambitions. It examines the nature of greed and power that comes with ambition.

Directed by actor Arpan Thapa who also stars in the movie, Mukhauta boasts an all-star stellar cast that is sure to get you excited! They are the biggest names in the showbiz- Rajesh Hamal, Sunil Thapa, Saugat Malla, Daya Hang Rai, Nisha Adhikhari, Robin Tamang, and Prasant Tamrakar among others.

Priyanka Karki, the choreographer and an item girl in Punte Parade

In addition to being a good actress, Priyanka Karki is also a good dancer. In an upcoming movie ‘Punte Parade’ she is going to choreograph a song that features herself in a part and the item girl Sabbu Balami. Samyam Puri is performing as "Punte" in Punte Parade upcoming Nepali movie.

 

The shooting of the item song was done in Babylon Dance Bar. While the item girl dances, the actor Samyam Puri imagines Sabbu to be Priyanka and he starts dancing with Priyanka.

In the movie, Priyanka’s character is the teacher of Samyam. Samyam likes his teacher and sees Priyanka in the item girl Sabbu.

Priyanka says that choreography is not her profession but it’s her passion. Priyanka had recently choreographed another item song in ‘Hasiya’. In addition to that, she had also choreographed some more songs in previous movies.

The shooting of ‘Punte Parade’ is in it’s last stage. The movie produced by Hari Mahat features Priyanka Karki, Samyam Puri, Anjila Dahal, Nattu Shah, Rabindra Khadka, Geeta Adhikari, Sweta Thapa and others. The movie is directed by Subash Koirala.

Aryan Sigdel to do become a gangster in Naaike

Director from Pokhara, Netra Gurung, has announced his new movie ‘Naaike’ during a press meet organized in Pokhara. The leas actor of the movie will be Aryan Sigdel, who will be featured as the leader of a gang. The actress of the movie is yet to be finalized. Other actors in the movie include Rem BK and Bodhraj Regmi.

The movie ‘Naaike’ is going to be made on a story of gangster and is being produced by Jagdish Khanal, Anandsharan Chhetri, Narayan Khanal, Sangita Parjuli and Resha Gurung. The executive producer is Bishnu Hamal and the banner is The Black Shadow. The director Gurung has also written the story of the movie.

The shooting of the movie is expected to start in a few days. The shooting will be done in various locations in and around Pokhara.

Prakash Ojha debut movie as a director, Traash releasing on January 3

After two weeks of no-release of Nepali movies, a thriller comedy movie ‘Trash’ is going to release in theater this Friday on January 3, 2014.

 

Update, in a short audio clip the director Prakash Ojha explains what the movie is all about:

The movie directed by comedy singer Prakash Ojha features Nirajan Luitel, Ayub KC, Anu Shah, Riya Shrestha and others. The movie will release in theaters all over Nepal. The lead actor Nirajan is the younger brother of actor Jiwan Luitel. The movie will also have an special appearance of Jharana Thapa.

Although the director Prakash Ojha is an actor and a good singer, he won’t be seen in the movie. Talking about the songs, Prakhash has only sung two lines in one of the songs.

The movie was was made a few years ago but, it wasn’t publicized much. The movie features the camera of Roshan Shrestha. The script and dialogue is written by Maunata Shrestha. The editing is done by Himal Joshi, action by Pradeep Khadka and choreography of Poonam Rai.

Mukhauta first look released on the new year day (January 2014)

Wishing everybody "a joyous and a prosperous new year 2014," the ‘Mukhauta’ team has released the first look poster of the movie. One of the posters asks everyone to "Join hands in bidding farewell to another memorable and successful year 2013."

 

‘Mukhauta’ is directed by Arpan Thapa and features himself and actress Nisha Adhikari in the leading roles. The poster features cartoon faces of the two actors.

The movie is expected to go to floor on January 6, 2014. A presentation of Reef Entertainment, the movie will also feature Saugat Malla, Dayahang Rai, Sunil Thapa, Robin Tamang and Prasant Tamrakar in main roles.

Upcoming Nepali Film MOKSHYA 2014

There are quite a number of releases for the upcoming year and MOKSHYA happens to be one of them. The upcoming Nepali film by Prabeen Shrestha revolves around music and follows few lead characters and their journey to come to terms with a defining moment in their lives. The movie which is based on a true story will be in cinemas on 7th February 2014. The makers have recently shared a song and a teaser of MOKSHYA. ‘Jholay’ Nepali Movie to release on 21st February 2013, trailer and poster unveiled

In a program held in Kathmandu on December 10, 2013 the trailer, poster and music of upcoming movie ‘Jholay’ was released. The movie is scheduled to release on Falgun 9 (February 21, 2014). The movie directed by Dipendra K Khanal features well known actors like Dayahang Rai, Priyanka Karki and Arjun Gurung in main roles.
