Suvekshya Thapa featured top--less in Miss Nepal

The mother of a 16-years-old daughter and the lead actress of upcoming movie ‘Miss Nepal’, Suvekshya Thapa has recently done a top--less photo for the poster of the movie. Suvekshya has been promoting the movie online and offline and the poster is also considered a marketing gimmick.

Made after the biggest beauty contest in Nepal, some have questioned the credibility of the actress to become Miss Nepal even in the movie. The actress is featured winning the contest only open to unmarried young girls.

The censor board had previously asked to remove such types of posters. ‘Chapali Height’ had to do photoshop to correct the poster by drawing clothes on the poster.

Miss Nepal Earth Rojisha Shahi Thakuri was awarded the Silver Medal during the preliminary evening gown competition of Miss Earth beauty pageant. Thakuri shined and made many stare in a long blue dress by popular Nepali fashion designer Tenzin Tseten Bhutia.

Fashion show, catwalks of Rekha Thapa

Nepali actress Rekha Thapa started her entertainment career as a model, participating in beauty contests. She participated and won the Miss Koshi title and also participated in Miss Nepal. She did some modeling and catwalk in the ramp. Rekha says, her friends thought she was made for acting, not modeling.

In the video posted above, Rekha talks about the starting days of her career. Although she doesn’t do much ramp modeling, here are some of the catwalks she did this year. The following photos were taken in a fashion show in Kathmandu.

The catwalk in green suit was done in the fashion show held during the Teej celebration.

Miss Nepal Malina Joshi in the Top 15 in Miss Asia Pacific World 2013

Miss Nepal 2011, Malina Joshi, the Nepali representative to the Miss Asia Pacific World 2013 was selected one of the top 15 in the finale held in Korea on October 30. There were contestants from 50 different countries eyeing for the crown. Although Miss India Shristi Rana snatched the crown and Malina couldn’t win any runner-up titles, the selection in top 15 in itself is considered a great feat for a Nepali representative.

Other beauties in the top 15 list include Miss Australia, Miss Ukraine, Miss Vietnam, Miss India, Miss Nepal, Miss Philippines, Miss Russia, Miss Trinidad & Tobago, Miss Sweden, Miss Egypt, Miss Central Africa, Miss Kazakhstan, Miss Latvia, Miss Mozambique, and Miss Mongolia.
