In the Nepalese glamour industry the international level of beauty contests requirement had been a major factor for exposing the Nepalese models in swimsuit. Then few years later it had been now a common for any Nepalese models to pose in a swimsuit.

There were no business and brands that has made models to pose in for swimsuit for promotions of their product till date. The models themselves had presented themselves in the swimsuit at their own will in the recent years. Fashion show, catwalks of Rekha Thapa

Nepali actress Rekha Thapa started her entertainment career as a model, participating in beauty contests. She participated and won the Miss Koshi title and also participated in Miss Nepal. She did some modeling and catwalk in the ramp. Rekha says, her friends thought she was made for acting, not modeling.

In the video posted above, Rekha talks about the starting days of her career. Although she doesn’t do much ramp modeling, here are some of the catwalks she did this year. The following photos were taken in a fashion show in Kathmandu.

The catwalk in green suit was done in the fashion show held during the Teej celebration.

Nepalese model in US Ramp

The famous fashion designer Prabal Gurung has been the first Nepali to be involved in US fashion industry. He is very famous in US for the design of dressed for  the US celebrities . Recentely following his footsteps a Nepali model is also involved in US fashion industry.  Kathmandu borned 23 years model Barsa Thapa is 5ft. 10inch tall. She has been actively involved in US fashion industry since 2012.

In 2012 she did her debeau in 2012 with the fashion show named "2012 spring". After that she participated in New York fashion week, where she did the catwalk with the dress designed by Prabal Gurung and famous designer of US Pyatrik Ivrel, Filip Lim, and Suno.

She completed Hotel Management study from India and then she moved to US. While staying in Nepal she won the award of Super Model award. She has dark brown eyes and her tall height has made her body look wonderful. Her body structure is 32-24-36.
