Which are the most viewed songs on YouTube? Hardly anyone knows the answers because there are no any Medias which measures the popularity of songs depending upon the feedback on YouTube. It’s a usual trend to know the popularity of songs depending upon sales of cassettes in the past and CDs and DVDs on present. Here are top five Nepali music videos which are listed according to number of views in an ascending order as of Date Jan 22, 2014.

1. Singer Babu Bogati’s song “Sannani timilai hirkaula lathile”

3. Singer Anju Panta’s song “Na birshe timilai, na paye timilai”

This is the song that established singer Anju Panta as the most popular singer in the Nepali Music industry. This song was so popular that it made record sales and made Anju Panta the busiest singer overnight. This song was viewed 2,330,683 times in YouTube as of today’s date.

4. Nepali folk song “Jhamke fuli nakai ma bulaki yes pali ta”

“Jhamke fuli” is very old Nepali folk song and was very popular in those days. This song was visualized by Nepal Television and only very popular songs were visualized by Nepal Television and was the only body to visualize Nepali songs in those days. This song was viewed 1,982,822 times in YouTube as of today’s date.

5. Remix song “Basanta nai bashna khojcha yaha” from old Nepali movie Maiti Ghar

This song is a remake and remix version of almost fifty years old popular song from Nepali movie Maiti Ghar. The singer of remake song was Anju Panta and model Hema Shrestha who is now a actress in Nepali movies had danced beautifully in the video. The video was shot in beautiful city Pokhara.  This song was viewed 1,775,036 times in YouTube as of today’s date.

Biteka Pal – Movie Review (Nepali Movie 2014)

Nepali movie ‘Biteka Pal’ was released in theater on January 10, 2014. The premier of the movie was held on December 28, the recommendations of the viewers were told to be incorporated in the final release. The movie produced by Rajesh Ghatani and Krish Rijal is written and directed by Suraj Subba ‘Nalbo’. The movie features Keki Adhikari, Abinash Gurung and Baboo Bogati in lead roles.

 

The director had told that the movie is based on a true story of a woman from Jhapa.

Story

The movie is made on the triangular love story of three characters Numa (Keki Adhikari), Abhi (Abinash Gurung) and Rayan (Baboo Bogati). All three characters are not happy with each other and the movie is the clash between these three characters.

The characters in the movie express their feelings in words and tears but, the presentation doesn’t seem natural. The tension in relationship between the character is documented with words, tears and sad music but, the viewers fail to feel it.

Strength and Weakness

The characters played by these actors haven’t been well presented. Abhi is told to be a well known artist in Darjeeling, but you don’t get a feeling of him being that popular. The twists and turns of the story don’t have enough background to make them believable.

The cinematography is simple, it doesn’t have much artistic touch. Although the movie was shot mostly in Darjeeling, there isn’t much scenes to show the life in Darjeeling. The script of the movie could also have been much better.

Star Cast

Baboo Bogati has done a very good job and has given justice to his role. Keki Adhikari, the central character of the movie, has also done a good acting but, sometimes it seems like an over-acting. The character played by Keki is sad and cries a lot. But, the crying fails to touch the heart of the viewers. Keki has worked hard to justify her role.

The debut actor, Abinash Gurung, has failed to show his acting talent. Abinash’s acting shows a lot of scope of improvement. In serious scenes, he has failed to express the seriousness.

‘Biteka Pal’ is the sixth movie of Suraj Subba ‘Nalbo’  as a director. In addition to that he has written the script of twice the number of movies he has directed. Although Nalbo has presented a good character, the presentation of the social and psychological aspect has failed. In terms of script writing, Nalbo has failed to bind the character in a solid story line.

Conclusion

The director and the artists have tried their best to make it a good movie. But, the movie could have been made much better by improving the presentation and characterization. It is a good story but, the presentation has ruined the story.

The story seems to be an original one and if you like love stories and can overlook the shortcomings, you might enjoy the movie.

The identity of Baboo Bogati’s wife revealed

The singer and actor of ‘Biteka Pal’, a movie currently running in theater, has failed to keep the information about his wife’s identity a secret. Baboo Bogati had secretly married in October of 2013 and had kept the identity of his wife a secret. According to a latest rumor, his wife is Phoolu Mizzar. Originally from Jhapa, Phoolu currently lives in the Columbus, USA.

Phoolu had shared the following photo of her marriage on October 25, 2013 – right after Baboo’s marriage.

At the time when he got married, Baboo had avoided the question about his wife. He had told that marriage is not a public affair and he wanted to keep his private life private. But the truth is, matters related to the lives of public personalities can rarely be kept secret.

While Baboo is busy promoting his newly released movie ‘Biteka Pal’ and his upcoming movie ‘Producer’ his wife is said to have returned back to the USA. The movie ‘Biteka Pal’ is being well received in theater and is expected to become a hit movie.

Producer to release in Dubai, prior to Nepal release

Nepali movie ‘Producer’ is going to release in Dubai before it is released in Nepal on Magh 17 (January 31, 2014). The movie will run for a month in Dubai for Nepali people living in the capital of UAE. According to the producer Jyotiraj Rai, the movie will be released with the help of the non-resident Nepali.

‘Producer’ is a comedy movie made on the insider’s story of the Nepali film industry. The movie features well known Nepali actors like Wilson Bikram Rai, Baboo Bogati, Sweta Bhattarai, Payal Rayamajhi and others. The movie is directed by Janakdeep Parajuli.

The news about the UAE release was given by the producer Janak Deep in a press meet held in Dharan. The promotion of the movie is currently going on in the Eastern Nepal.

Keki Adhikari in an attractive costume in Biteka Pal premier

Actress Keki Adhikari appeared in a different and attractive costume in the premier of her upcoming movie ‘Biteka Pal’. It was not only the costume, Keki’s acting in the movie was also appreciated by the viewers. The typical dhaka costume was designed by the noted costume designer of Nepali film industry, Nilima Sharma.

The movie scheduled to release on January 10 features Keki with Baboo Bogati and Abhinash Gurung. The movie directed by Suraj Subba ‘Nalbo’ was appreciated by most of the viewers of the premier.

Shot mostly in Darjeeling, the movie is jointly produced by Rajesh Ghatani and Krish Rijal. During the premier, Rajesh Ghatani promised to donate all the revenues collected on the first day at Indra Dev theater in Narayangadh, Chitwan to the family of late director Shiva Regmi. The movie directed by Shiva Regmi, ‘Parai’ is also going to release with ‘Biteka Pal’.

Other actresses like Reema Bishowkarma, Richa Sharma, Malina Joshi, Sanchita Luitel, Sarita Lamichane etc. were also present in the premier show.
